I’ve been enjoying time at home with my sweet collies including our new baby Bee. Willa was a good mother to Bee, but let me know that I could take over feeding her now. Bee is quite a character- vocal and sassy since she was two weeks old.
Bee has missed out on having a littermate to play with, but we keep each other pretty entertained. Soon she will be able to play with some of the big girls.

Speaking of big girls, Carly, from our litter out of Poppy sired by Ch Milas Walk This Way, has now completed her AKC championship. Carly has had some big wins, and recently won an all breed herding group first, a herding group three, and two herding group 4’s. It looks like Carly has also gained enough points as a champion to have obtained her AKC grand championship! Carly is owned by Lynn Butler and Lotta Hedman at Milas Collies, and is shown by Lotta. We are very proud of this pretty girl.
That makes five AKC champions bred or co-bred by Tairis Collies for 2021.

Wyatt, out of our litter from Carly’s sister Grace, sired by Am/ Can Ch VanIsle Prairiepine Afirmation, has been doing great in Canada with owners Susan Minard, and Valerie Marshall. Wyatt, aka Can Ch Prairiepine’s The Lawman of Tairis has had best puppy in specialty awards, best puppy in herding group awards, and now a best collie in specialty award. I’m so proud of Wyatt who is not yet a year old.

I’m loving this cooler fall weather which is always a relief after a hot Texas summer. My collies are so much more frisky and playful when cool weather comes.
I hope Grace will come back in her pretty winter coat in time for the winter shows. I am cutting back on showing some but still plan to have fun at a few shows this winter.
