Lucas, aka Milas Tairis Commander’s Stardancer

First of all, I want to thank Margie Blount who is the co-owner, main caretaker, and one of the people showing Mr. Lucas, also known as Milas Tairis Commander’s Stardancer. This yearling boy from Milas Collies was a very cute puppy, and is growing up into a handsome lad. He has been a charmer since the day I picked him up, and gets more so all the time. Lucas picked up major wins at the Collie Club of Austin, and the South TX Collie Club in February. He has added two more winner’s dog placements recently at the Humble shows. In fact, he was awarded not only winner’s dog at the Sunday show, but won over all three champion collies there to go best of variety for another major. Judge Fred Basset was very complimentary of Lucas. Mr. Basset was also judging the herding group on Sunday. Margie took Lucas with her to rest in the A/C in the car until it was time for him to go to the herding group competition. Unfortunately, Margie didn’t know the order of group judging had been changed, and missed the herding group judging. Oh well, she made it to the owner handled group and Lucas got a Group 4 there. If we counted his points correctly, Lucas just needs four more single points to finish his AKC championship. Go Margie and Lucas! He is entered in a few more shows coming up. We are hoping he will be a champion soon.

Amber’s puppies have had their hearts checked, eyes checked, and have begun to go to new homes. It is a little complicated when a litter is owned by four people but now we have an understanding on which puppies are available. The Amber/Jax puppies are very nice– as are the Leena/ Jagger puppies.

This is Nikki, the tricolor girl Lea Bertsch and I are going to co-own and hopefully show in the future.
We love her!
This is Queen Elena! She is the sable girl that I am co-owning with the Spauldings. It sounds like this diva has taken charge at their house! They plan to train, show, and do some performance activities with her in the future. I think they are going to have a lot of fun!

The pretty puppies shown below are now available to great homes. They all have wonderful temperaments, sound bodies, and good temperaments.

Luka- a beautiful sable boy, nice enough to show, available to a great family home.

Pinky- our cute sable merle girl with a pretty face like her mother, Amber. She is available to a great pet home.

This is our white girl Birdy, a blue merle headed white. She is a cutie, probably nice enough to show. She moves like a train! We would consider letting her go to a great show home and would be happy to see her be the shining star in a happy family home as well.

Caring for five puppies at home is a lot easier than looking after 15 babies! It looks like we all survived a two litter winter as spring is right around the corner. It has been mighty difficult at times with my husband seriously ill, but playing with puppies is a great stress reliever! I know blue bonnets will soon be popping up, and that means collie pictures in the blue bonnets!
